Malomalo Visit - Jan 26

Our connection with Malomalo Village began in 2025 during a visit to the area with Ecotrax, who operate cycling tours along the historic sugarcane railway tracks. Set against untouched coastlines and surrounded by natural beauty, Malomalo immediately stood out as a place of quiet strength and isolation.

Our relationship with Malomalo is still in its early stages, and we approach it with care, humility, and respect.

In January 2026, Pacific Education returned to Malomalo to deliver school supplies — 63 stationery packs along with colouring books for local children. We were met by a village contact and welcomed through a small Sevusevu ceremony. Our visit was brief and respectful — focused on quietly delivering supplies and offering our support.

Malomalo is a remote and beautiful village, where access to resources can be limited by geography as much as circumstance. Our time there reinforced the importance of listening first, moving gently, and allowing relationships to grow at the pace set by the community itself.

Malomalo represents the beginning of a longer journey — one built on trust, consistency, and shared purpose. As Pacific Education continues its work, we are committed to returning, learning more, and supporting Malomalo in ways that are guided by the village’s needs and aspirations.
